Special Edition NYFW Street Style – The Pics Plus!! What To Expect Of LFW

Dear Reader,

We are breaking our usual routine today, to bring you a special edition of the very best street style at NYFW, handpicked from all the main online posts by Kalamarie. You wouldn’t expect less from us, would you?

So, do flick through the above selection for some of the best outfits we’ve ever seen.

Now, the reason we are breaking our routine today, is because it is, as you know, the junction between New York Fashion Week and London Fashion Week. New York and London are, of course, Kalamarie’s residence, so we could do no less, we are sure you will agree.

So, you are probably asking yourself what will happen at LFW different to NYFW?

We have given you midweek some of our favourites from NYFW. The end of the week in New York was, as you would expect, absolutely spectacular.

As for LFW, Event Magazine has released a really useful short article with the main facts and figures for the event.  You may read it here: http://www.eventmagazine.co.uk/london-fashion-week-ss16-expect/brands/article/1364600

According to the Article, which in turn relies on figures released by the British Fashion Council, 78 designers are set to showcase their SS16 collections. Of these, there will be 52 catwalk shows and 26 presentations.”

You will note that this year the event is being held at a new venue, the Brewer Street Car Park. The week is set to start today, with a schedule packed of mouthwatering shows.

There is much anticipation for Anya Hindmarch’s show, given the recent opening of her car park feature in Selfridges London.

It is estimated by the British Fashion Council that some £100m will be placed in orders during the week, which is brilliant news for the economy and for those in the difficult, at times frustrating, career path of fashion creation.

The BFC is encouraging consumers to take part in the LFWeekend, and Kalamarie, of course, needs no such encouragement ; ). This is what the BFC have to say on their website:-

“London Fashion Weekend is Britain’s biggest biannual consumer fashion showcase, it is your chance to experience first-hand insider knowledge and style advice from London Fashion Week’s most famous British brands. Expect designer shopping, catwalk shows, pop-up shops, hair & beauty and educational panels from leading industry experts.”

So, what do you say, see you there fore a glass/pint (or two) and a little shopping trip?  Hope so…
